This is a horror drama program which is based upon a world which is post apocalyptic and is flooded with zombies. The show  really focuses on survival and how difficult it is for the human survivors left in the world. It starts with the main character who is a sheriff officer, he awakens from a month long coma and realises that the world has dramatically changed with a Pandemic disease. The program follows Rick Grimes through the series and his constant mission for survival.

What I find gripping is the way the program portrays survival and how to do so, it really helps bring you into the program when you are watching it and you develop attachments to characters and imagine yourself living in that world. The Zombies are incredibly detailed and it is a true work of art on how they done the make up and prosthetics on them, straight from the beginning you are gripped into the show wanting to know what happens next, they are notorious for leaving every episode on a cliff hanger so you need to watch the next.



Rick Grimes

From each season the characters can dramatically change because of the high chance of death within the program, in most episode you find the survivors out searching for supplies so they can find shelter food and water, this is when they encounter the walking dead and have to learn how to protect themselves against them. If a survivors gets bitten then once they die they will "Turn" when the come back around and enhances a human less state where they need to feast on living things. The walkers respond to sound, fire and lighting which makes it incredibly hard for the survivors to live day to day. If you enjoy the intense thrill of edge of the seat entertainment then the walking dead is definitely a program to watch.

Rick (the leader) & Daryl (the Hunter)

The series has 6 seasons so far and is still in the making so the end is not near yet for the program. For the characters if you get easily attached to characters within then you may have to hold your breath a few times as it is a fast paced violent program which is incredibly exciting. The program has little horror scenes but not a lot so if you aren't a major fan of horror then you would still be bale to happily view the program as its reasonable horror.

Season 3 - Prison Fight

The program has a lot of similarities comparing to Digital Marketing as within the program survival is crucial and everyone plays their part within the group - this is very similar to Digital Marketing as it proves that without each other the lifespan of the individual within the group is shortened by a great deal. It shows that each person within the show has their purpose and would be silly to say one is more important than the other. Within the show the group would dramatically suffer if perhaps the leader Rick died or Daryl the hunter died as it would be more difficult to enable survival within the group as resources would be scarce, this is the same for digital marketing as content, social media, SEO, Branding and rich media to name a few without one another it proves a lot more difficult to survive in the environment they are in. It shows that surviving can be closely linked to Digital Marketing as that is how to keep a brand surviving through the use of advertising the brand so they can make profit on what they do as a business.
